So money is kind of tight and we area already over budget for the wedding (we are paying of the entire thing ourselves). My Fiance doesn’t even want to take engagment photos because he thinks they are cheesey but has agreed to do it also as it is free and somes with our wedding package.
I had the idea that he might be more comfortable doing it ourselevs. By either buying a tripod and using the timer setting on our current camera OR his cousin loves to take photos and has a great camera. I thought maybe we could ask her to take them. Any suggestions??

I’m confused. Is it free and comes with the package, or do you have to shell out money for it?

@winstonchurchill: I don’t have a photogapher yet so that would determine who I choose. Some photographers charger for enegament and it is encluded for free in others.

Definitely ask his cousin to do it!

I think you should ask his cousin to do them, but I don’t think that you should ask her to do them for free if that is what you were planning. I would offer her something.

For my photographer an e-session is a mandatory part of the package because it lets us get comfortable with him and his photo taking style prior to the wedding. I think it helps him deliver better and more customized service on the wedding day. I’m really looking forward to taking our e-session with him in 2 weeks. He’s being really awesome and taking our session in the park down the road from where we live while he’s in Minnesota visiting his son. If you can find a photographer that includes it in the package I would go for that, because you want someone you are comfortable with on your wedding day, not a stranger.

Ask his cousin! I hate trying to set up the camera and running around to the front and posing before it goes off.

We took a few engagement photos ourself using my Fiance’s camera and tripod. I thought they came out nice!
