Before my fiance and I moved to Mohnton PA a year and a half ago, we WANTED to have our ceremony and engaement photos at Tyler state park. Simply beautiful, and they allow both at the park. I grew up in the inter city of Philadelphia and my fiance grew up in Feasterville. TYLER STATE PARK IS MY VOTE. I will go back through my saved information files to send you the contact info for Tyler State. We are getting married in January at Celebrations wedding venue in Bensalem, if we would have waited until March/April of 2013 we would have done our ceremony in Tyler State, but no one could beat the amazing price of having a winter wedding so we choose January 2013, and we are praying for SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Miss Lyre:  Yes Miss Lyre! Although unlike my fiance I’m not form the suburbs, I grew up in the actual city; chlildhood in Kensington, teenager in PortRichmond and Frankford, adult life was all over the city until I moved to Berks County a year and a half ago, and I love living here the moutains are beautiful. I can’t wait for our Sunday winter wedding day, we choose Jan. 20, 2013. Main reason was the huge winter discount, second reason we did not want to be HOT in our wedding attire, and my fiance loves the winter to boot, third its Martin Luther King weekend so Monday Jan 21 is a holiday and some people are off from work and all kids are off from school. LET IT SNOW, OH PLEASE LET IT SNOW. While all the other brides out there are praying for perfect warm weather, us winter brides hope for another type, cold and snow, but not ice. Where do you plan on getting married?

@mishagirls79:  I had the exact same reasons for not wanting a summer wedding! Everyone thinks that just because you’re a teacher, you should get married in the summer!  I hate being hot, and hate the bugs/mosquitos, and burn quite easily.  Summer is not my favorite season.  We’re getting married at the Curtis Center is Olde City, right across from Independence Hall.  I would be ok with some snow – just not a blizzard! 🙂

@Miss Lyre:  I simply want some soft fluffy snow my fiance wants a blizzard so he can torture me and push me in a big pile of snow! LOL, I’m hoping for enough to make our photos beautiful, he is hoping for enough to push me in a pile of snow and cover me so I disappear under it in my white wedding gown! LOL

@mseagles:  We had our engagment pictures taken at the belmont plateau in fairmount and also at the morris arboretum.  I don’t have any to show right now as our main computer is down, but I can probably PM you a link if you are interested in seeing more.  They turned out really great, we shot in October and the leaves were perfect for fall.  We had to pay for admission to the arboretum, but that was no big deal. Definately a gorgeous location with so many great picture spots!!!
