I’m super excited to share the sneak peak photos our wonderful photographer sent of our engagement session last week. These are particularly meaningful to me, as Fiance goes in for heart surgery in 2 weeks (only 13 weeks before our wedding. yikes!) I can’t wait to see more!
I toyed with the idea of getting my hair and makeup professionally done, but in the end just did it myself. Hair could have been better, but I’m happy with it overall.
My Fiance really enjoyed this session, much to my surprise. It was also great to work with the photographer and get comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding.
Location: Grounds of the Governor Generals’ Residence at Rideau Hall, Ottawa, Canada
This dress was a 50% off bargain from Jones New York I found 2 days before the shoot. Phew!
Fun fact: There is a random cat rubbing up against FI’s leg during these photos. We couldn’t get him to leave us alone! lol
FI’s Dad has a collection of antique vehicles he restores because he loves to drive them. This is his latest restoration, finished just in time for our shoot! We loved it because our wedding colours are red and navy, so this truck was perfect! We’ll be using the very first car he restored as our wedding get-away car. It’s very special because it was Fiance parent’s wedding get-away car … and there’s still confetti in it from their wedding 35 years ago!

On HIM: Levis, Checked shirt from Banana Republic. On HER: Jean Capris from Reitmans, Tommy Hilfiger shirt from Costco, Red wedges from Ardene ($5!) and vintage hair flower.
Because I know people will ask, we found the Save the Date sign at a random store during after-Christmas sales for 70% off. It was, like, $4!
Also, I LOVE FI’s cutie face in this pic. *swoon*
I don’t know what I’m doing with my foot in this picture, but I love the rest of it!
Thanks for looking!
