Hi Bees! How many of you actually did some kind of theme/something personal in your engagement photos? I’m just thinking of location specific really…
I’ve been thinking of what is “us” as far as capturing that, or to allow for a specific setting/backdrop. The first thing I think of though, is snowboarding (he proposed at Mt. Tremblant in Quebec, Canada ) However, I don’t want winter pictures! I get a red nose very easily haha.
We were thinking September/October 2013. And because we’re already doing bits of Halloween in our October 2014 wedding, I didn’t want to do it twice. The only other thing I can think of is an amusement park is very “us” – but I also don’t want all these strangers in the background if we did a carnival (since I don’t think an amusement park would allow photos without a price lol)
Just looking for thoughts/opinions!

We did some of our photos at the comic book store we met at YEARS ago. Luckily we were good friends with the owner, so they let us come in early and shoot without anyone bothering us! We also shot at locations throughout NYC, because as NY’ers we’ve both felt like the city is a part of us! Our photographer was a ninja and shot in such a way that made it look like we were the only ones there- and that’s pretty tough to do on a beautiful day on the Brooklyn Bridge, lol.

My Fiance is obsessed with motorcycles so we did ours with a motorcycle. We also did part of it in an ice cream shop since we love ice cream, but I enjoyed having strangers in the background of my photos, lol.
