Hi everyone! I have a questions for NYers. Where did everyone go to take their E-pics? I have a couple in mind (ie Times Sq, Brooklyn Bridge, Seaport) but they seem to be trite although I’m probably going to end up being there. I’m hoping for quaint areas with stone paved roads, grassy lands, beautiful mansions, city lights, lively atmosphere, etc. Help!
Thanks soo much!

I think there are some stone paved roads in downtown or you can try the meat packing district. I googled it and there’s a non-driving one at Stone St. and Mill Lane.
I suppose while you’re down there, brooklyn bridge and battery park. I’m not sure where you’d find a mansion unless you went up to westchester. There are a lot of estates with "grassy lands." but you’ll have to pay admission.

we took ours in DUMBO brooklyn, some shots we got were in the park, on the brooklyn bridge, on cobblestone streets, and down random streets (sort of residential).

Have you considered any of the smaller neighborhood parks? I used to live in Tudor City in Midtown East and it’s got a great old New York feel. Check out Tudor City Gardens which is in between 41st and 43rd Streets. You have to walk up a flight of stairs and the garden is right in front of L’Impero restaurant. Really quaint!
Another unique & great location (but it is very far from quaint!) is 5Pointz, the graffiti collage/space in LIC, Queens.

we’re most likely going to do our pics around Coney Island area. Though it’s cold outside – there’s still so much "cool" stuff out there. from the ferris wheel to nathans.
Brooklyn Bridge is another cool idea – then maybe go to your favorite coffee shop or restaurant for some indoor shots?
there’s a new electric fountain installation @ rockerfeller center – looks really cool, might be a fun idea. here’s a link to some info: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/21/arts/design/21foun.html?_r=2&pagewanted=1&oref=slogin
