2mm is the classic 6 prong solitaire width.

I believe mine is 2mm. The solitaire is .80.

I think 2mm with a 1 carat will be perfect for you.

my center stone is .86 on a 1.5mm so the proportions in my pic will be somewhat similar to yours maybe. My stone is something like 6.1mm wide/tall, and I think a 1 carat is 6.5mm. I also got a matching wedding band as well (love mismatched look too but ocd ha). I’m not 100% sure, but I think my bands are shared prong as well. Hope this helps!

I would try to stay as close to 2 as you can. 2.5 might be a tad too thick especially contrasted with the 1 carat stone.

I had the same issues as you when I was trying to find the perfect setting. I had my heart set on a thin band as I don’t like thick ones so I wanted to know what was too thin and what was too thick. I tried on just about everything. I tried on 2.6 and it was way too thick for my taste. I tried on a 2.3 and it was OK but I still felt like I wanted something with that thin sleek look so I ended up with 2mm band and it was PERFECT. I wouldn’t go lower than 2 though. 2 gives the perfect look of being thin and dainty while also being sturdy
