Hi all! the boards on here have been SO helpful with “engagement ring education” but after lots of searches recently I couldnt find the answer I’m looking for this time!!
Okay so I LOVE LOVE LOVE six prong solitaires with sharedprong or pave bands. preferrably shared prong. I decided that one carat was the not too big not too small size for me after trying on about a zillion on my size 6 finger. sooo now I’m desperately trying to find the perfect band width…I want the stones on the band to add sparkle and emphasize the center stone, but I’m worried about the band being TOO wide and taking away from the stone or making it look smaller. BUT I definitely do not want less than 2mm. I tried it on and I thought it made the stone seem huge and like it was balancing on thread lol i think they look so pretty but just not for me. my problem is I cannot figure out the sweet spot. Below 2mm is definitely too thin. I can’t see myself going above 3mm..too big for the center. But we are ordering from moissaniteco.com and they offer pretty much everything in between…would 2.5 still be too big? is 2mm still too thin? I DONT KNOW AHH the problem is most pictures of rings on pinterest and even on here do not name the band width…I dont think many people think about it as much as center stone etc!!!
So my question for all you ladies…do any of you have one carat solitiares with pave or shared prong bands? Do you know the band width and can you show/tell me?!!? I really feel like I need to see real life pictures to figure out what would best compliment a one carat center stone.
if this is way too specific and annoying im sorry!!
