All you can do is try them on.

Here’s a trick that you will probably think is really weird, but look at your hand with the ring on in a mirror.  I don’t know why, but it gives you a completely different perspective, maybe because it gives you a feeling of distance from it.

Even though I’m late at posting, I thought I would give you my insight on the matter. lol I have a Moissanite round solitaire, and even though it isn’t a diamond which isn’t what I wanted anyway, I do love it. However, I am wanting to upgrade to a bigger center stone in a halo setting with side pave stones, either round or cushion like you are discussing. I haven’t entirely made up my mind yet and it will take some time, but I really do like the cushion. lol I don’t really care whether or not it stays in “style”, if it looks pretty it’s always going to get noticed. Besides, I think that halo settings will be around for a long while because they are so gorgeous! 🙂

I had two choices narrowed down as well!  I put them both on, went to a full-length mirror and went with my gut.  One looked like “me” and while the other was pretty and everything, I couldn’t picture myself wearing it in 10 years.  Good luck!

I am in the exact same position!

I have looked at more rings then I can count, but none of them have felt like “the one.” I have ended up confusing my bf because I have showed him so many rings even he doesn’t know what I want.

I know I want a halo and that is about it (but this thread has definitely helped me a lot, in fact I found something very similiar to what I want).
