Hi, sorry for the long post but, I need to vent.
I’m a waiting bee! My boyfriend purchased my beautiful engagement ring from BrilliantEarth on March 30th. I picked out the setting and the diamond. I had been looking at diamonds for weeks, and then I finally found the one! Brilliantearth overnighted the ring with fedex, on 4/14, so it should have been here in Colorado on 4/15. The last tracking update was 4/14 in Memphis, Tennessee. I thought it was maybe delayed due to the shooting in Indianapolis, so we waited til Monday. I spoke with a representative today, and she said the Memphis location has 48 hours to find the package. Otherwise, it is considered lost. It is insured so if it is lost, we will get our money back, or a new ring for the same value. I am just so sad, and I don’t want to get my hopes up anymore. Brilliantearth is aware that its missing from fedex.

That sucks! I hope everything works out. I once had a package that I thought was lost in the mail that turned up 5 years later.. so don’t lose hope!

I hope it turns up! It’s only been ‘lost’ for a week, maybe now that they will have to pay out they’ll look around a bit closer for it.

My brothers engagement ring for his fiance has been stuck in Memphis since March 17th…
A new one is currently being made. Fed Ex is ROUGH right now. UPS for the win. Every time. Even when they lose it, which happens far fewer times than their competitors, they are easier to work with.

I ask everyone now not to use FedEx if they have USPS or DHL if it’s global shipping when I purchase any expensive item anymore.
I have also had the worst experiences with FedEx. They once miss delivered my vita-mix blender to the wrong address. I opened a case but the blender never showed up.
Another time I purchased a Cuban chain for my husband ( this just Christmas actually) and the chain went from over night to missing for weeks. It never actually showed up.
FedEx I know is also an absolute pain to contact and they wont connect you to their drivers which is insane in the world we live in today.
I also know that FedEx employees arent’ very happy with the company. They pay isn’t great compared to other logistics companies and their hours are really hectic.
The whole business needs a face lift.
I’m sorry they lost your ring. I understand and I just refuse to use them now..

This is not on the same level as a ring but I ordered a pair of Miss Me Jeans from the Buckle and they were shipped FedEx. I was out of work sick yesterday, I have all my packages sent to my work, and when I tracked the package it said delivered and signed by me! So I assumed my coworker signed but when I got to work today she had not and said nothing was delivered…so I was confused and went to ask maintenance at the building but I stopped in the mail room to check the mail and my FedEx package was just sitting on the shelf in the shared mail room of a multi tenant office building! Anyone could’ve taken the package but I’m glad they didn’t! This is so unprofessional but common of them to sign and leave packages anywhere!

Eugh this would be such a horrible feeling.
My diamond came by FedEx last week and shipped (including clearing customs to Canada) in 4 days. Hearing all these horror stories I am so relieved.
I hope you are able to get a beautiful replacement in quickly!

I hope you’re good. I had something lost at the Memphis location last month as well. I ended up receiving the package about a week later than expected.

How far are you from the Denver location? You can always do pickups there instead of it being shipped to your home.

Thanks for the support and kind words. I wanted to give an update, my ring was delivered today! I called FedEx’s customer service every day since it went missing (which was a total of 12 days!). I spent an hour on the phone last Friday crying about my ring to a representative, and that lady truly cared and actually called me back on Monday. If it wasn’t for her, I don’t know if I would have gotten it back. Several representatives told me to call the sender and file a lost claim to get my money back because they couldn’t find it. Thank goodness, I didn’t! Hopefully, no one else goes through this but if anyone does don’t give up, and keep calling them until you get answers!

I am so sorry that happened to you! it’s really stressful when anything is lost in transit, but especially something that spendy!…. anyhoo I see that you got it now, so that is good!!!! I think we all need to see some photos!
