Ooh! I love both your rings, and that second one is just gorgeous! I’m glad you guys found a solution.

I’m sorry πŸ™ I know how much it sucks.  Our idiot jeweler “lost” our engagement ring so I ended up buying a different one on my own.  I don’t feel at all attached to it and in the future Darling Husband and I will pick one out together (or I’ll give him some ideas and he will ultimately decide).

It sucks.  Over a year later I still get livid when I think of it.

im sorry πŸ™

not useful to you now and this is probably a costlier option but you could have gotten it plated (in case you ever wanted to buy it back just to have it πŸ™‚

that’s cute! definately repropose, he seems happy you got the real deal, I think he felt worse for the mistake!

But your ring is a reminder of his feelings, not how much it cost or that its a little different.  Nobody else would notice.

@GratefulHoops:  I know!  Darling Husband was way more upset than me at the time (rightfully so).  I was trying to be patient and begged him to not yell at the jeweler.  But the jeweler was an ***hole and didn’t even try to properly compensate us for losing something so sentimental.

Sigh.  I’d say definitely get him to repropose!  Make some new memories πŸ™‚
