    Oh both are so beautiful, I can see why you’re having trouble! I like the halo slightly better, but I’m biased since I have a cushion cut in a halo 🙂

    You should add a poll so bees can vote!

    You really can’t go wrong with either. Why not go with a solitaire for now, and then later if you’re still thinking about a halo you can add one?

    The halo! I definitely know what you mean about some halos looking too cluttered, but I LOVE this one.

    …..I also have a halo though, so I may be a little biased 🙂

    @KatyElle:  good idea

    I also think the cushion shape itself is special and the halo kind of masks it. I have a Ring Bearer but I’ve heard from men who have chosen cushions, that they really devote time to picking a stone they like and the shape is part of that!

    This is funny commig fom me, who is currently stalking a particular petit halo ring all over the interwebs, but I actually feel like the whole “halo” thing is just a fad. Look at your mothers or grand mothers rings, are they classic? Or are they showing their age by the tastes of the time they were purchased? I love them, but I have been thinkig about this lately, and now I am leaning to something that is classic and will never go out of style!

    That is my opinion,  so I chose the solitaire, but honestly both are very lovely!

    i voted for the halo. it usually overpowers the main stone and i don’t like it, but not in your case. i think it gives you a fuller look whilst excentuating the main stone which is keyyyy!

    I’m a huge fan of halos, so I’m sticking with the beautiful halo you pictured above.

    @nambi_pambi:  I dislike halos for this EXACT reason. However, this is the one instance where i like the halo more than the solitaire. It is so delicate and understated i think it is prettier (both are GORGEOUS, though). But it means a lot coming from me, a sworn solitaire person, that i picked the halo!
