Here’s another example of sizing beads.  Mine are a little more like speed bumps – lower and flatter. It’s interesting how there’s so many different versions of the same idea!

I also hated the plastic rings.  Fi bought my ring a full size too big.   I ended up getting it resized down half a size and it moves around far less.  It’s still big,  but I resized it a little big since we have a short engagement and I wanted to resize the ering to go with the wedding band.  I may resize it down another quarter size after trying it on with the band after the band is finished being made(woot! April 6).

You can also wear a silicone band when it’s driving you crazy.  I love them and yesterday bought fi and me matching silicone bands to wear after the wedding. The men’s says  always on the inside and the women’s says forever and both sets included multiple bands for under $15.

I dont know if this is an option for you now, but can it be sized smaller and then made more of an oval shape? My concern with just making it an oval would be loosening the sidestones if it’s not made that way, but its so much more comfortable. I requested mine be made oval, I have the same issue with huge knuckles and super skinny actual finger where the ring sits.

I have a 24k gold ring that, because of being 24K which is soooo soft, it kind of flattened itself out from wear but I love how it fits and it doesnt spin anymore!

lulun :  I scanned through the replies quickly, so I’m not sure if anyone else has mentioned this option. My anniversary ring is the type of setting that can’t really be resized very much. When I first got it, I was a size 8 or 8.5. I’m now a size 7. I was also worried about the sizing beads being uncomfortable, so my jeweler did a sizing “hump” or “bump” in the bottom of my ring.

It looks like this:

I was going down a size or size and a half, so this solution didn’t make my ring fit like a glove or anything like that. It is still a bit loose. But it’s no longer in danger of falling off my finger.

I was going to suggest “speedbumps”. or beads. My ring is looser in the winter but my fingers are a littel bigger in the summer so it fits fine. I can only use temporary options.

My ring is too big as well, but I tied a white rubber band around the bottom, so now it fits perfectly, and acts like a bump. I tried hot glue and it kept slipping off. I don’t to resize it.

I have sizing beads to keep mine from spinning (it’s very top heavy) and it took about a day to get used to them. They don’t bother me at all now.
