An engagement ring is just that, please dont be distracted by all of the negatives on double halos, the comments about them detracting from the centre stone make no sense either, who says the engagement ring should be all about the centre stone…..if she is a halo lover then she will love this ring, the setting and style all make up what it is so go with your gut…its a beautiful ring

annieem :  I agree with this 100%. She told him what she likes; whether or  we like ithe style or not is not the subject of this thread and a moot point.  Those are awesome details he included that equate to a high quality diamond (s) and ring design. If it’s within his budget then he should go with it + Congrats

I’m also not a double halo fan. It’s going to be a lot of ring. 1.2 is a nice size and a single halo would be enough, unless your gf really specified she wants a double. The double halo I think takes away from the stone. But yes 3-5k for setting alone. You’re better off putting that into the stone to be honest.

perfectpisces :  ok I take it  back. You’re ring is gorgeous. But your halos are also daintier. The haloes in the pic OP posted I think overshadow the stone. Totally.

glitterysala :  I agree with this it’s about the proportion. The haloes should not, together, be thicker and larger than the center stone.

I love the style. It’s very similar to my double halo ring but I have a triple split shank. I was 90% sure I would get my ring from LaurenB but I just couldn’t justify their prices for the settings. I ended up with a larger center stone and more detailed setting for 30% less than what I was quoted from them. Their work is amazing but I went with a jeweler from the LA diamond district instead.

rob1c :  I have a single halo with a 0.60 center. I think it’s perfect for my small fingers. I really can’t imagine a double halo with a larger than 1 carat center stone on me. But if she loves big rings then that’s perfect! It’s all down to personal taste

I personally wouldn’t choose a double halo for myself, but I’ve seen plenty of double halo rings that are absolutely stunning, and the one in your picture is one of them. However I think the stone itself is already so stunning, the extra halo might take away from it…

lauren B is amazing, you can’t go wrong with her. So whatever u choose will be beautiful, goodluck!

I absolutely love it. All that matters is your love and your fiances love of it. Ive learned from reading these blogs that many are very bias. So go with what you know about her. Have you looked at rings with her to see which styles she gushes over? Normally helps a lot. I love this ring. Im sure you know her better that we do. Good luck.

The first setting is also much better from the side in my opinion, and more “sturdy” than the ring out there by itself.  Since it’s pave with several smaller diamonds that’s really important – plus you’re ordering it – so you don’t want diamonds to fall out and she’ll be heartbroken dealing with that.

She will love it, congrats!
