Long time lurker here and in love with everyones rings… My husband and I got enagaged in 2014 with my dream of a cushion halo – he did very well
It wasn’t until this year (my 5 year upgrade) that I started looking into my “Ring Upgrade” options with bluenile. However, I just couldn’t justify parting with my beloved stone. He did just a good job with it and it’s almost colorless and IF – it just holds too much sentimental value for me.
I thought about resetting and was sold on a double halo. However, I wanted a seamless double halo, WITHOUT a split shank due to my wedding band, and didn’t want to pay a fortune as I was completely satisfied waiting for “the one” if it ever came around.
To my surprise, my husband went on a search during a period where I didn’t want to wear my rings (swollen pregnany hands!). He found, yet again, the perfect setting for me and surprised me with getting it a few weeks before we give birth to our first baby (due 9/4/19). He said it was 1 halo for mommy, and 1 halo for his new princess. Now i’m in love with it even more.
I know double halos aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I thought I’d share our story and a few pictures of before and after.

It looked beautiful before and AMAZING now! I love the “halo for mommy halo for new baby” thing… PRECIOUS! Congratulations on 5 years, having a daughter, and your new upgraded ring!

SunflowerGarden : Thank you! I love the meaning behind it now so much more! … but if we have more kids, I dont think I’d go for a triple halo hahahaha.

cushionlove : Awww! Such a sweet and romantic thought with the two halos on your reset. I love your set in the before picture, but I think it looks even more amazing with your wedding band in the “after”. Gorgeous set, and congratulations on your little one! My daughter is a September baby, too. (she’s a teenager now, though — ha, ha!)

cushionlove : I loved your set before but I love it even more now. It somehow seems even more proportionate to your band than before. Your husband is so sweet to search for it and his purpose behind the setting. Congratulations on the ring and the baby and wear it in good health.

cushionlove : Ha! It’s so funny that you mention that. When I was pregnant with our daughter and went in for my first “official” OB visit, the doctor estimated the due date in September. And then he said, “There are going to be a LOT of September babies this year.” We were living in VA at the time, and had lived there less than a year. Basically, we were going through our first winter in the state. So I asked him why that was, and he shrugged and said, “Well … we’ve been having all that snow …”
I still laugh about that.
