Just get it sized. A week without it is much preferable to losing it!

Love your nail colour!

Sorry bee, I would bite the bullet and get it resized. The sooner you send it away the sooner you get it back! And imagine how you would feel if it slipped off and you lost it.

jezahb :  get it sized. Shop around though, some jewellery repair places will do same day sizings for a premium, then you’d only have to be without it a few hours.

Can you check with the jeweler from whom you got your ring?

Mine was also a size too big and my jeweler re-sized my ring in the 30 minutes that I sat there. He offers free sizing and cleaning for life. Check with yours.

There are some plastic things you can put on the ring temporarily before you get it re-sized.  They may be more comfortable than the wire that was put on it.  I used one for a little bit and it was fine.

jezahb :  I’d just get it sized asap. A week without it is preferable to being uncomfortable wearing it or to losing it.

You could also search for jewelry stores that have on site jewelers. Local chain stores where I live do that on certain days. I had my ring resized in a few hours by using an onsite jeweler. They might charge you extra for a rush fee but it might be worth the extra cost if you can’t bare to part with it for an extended period.

If you plan on wearing a wedding band with it, make sure you don’t get it resized too small. My engagement ring was at least a half size too big but now that I’m married and wearing a band, it’s perfect. I’m glad I didn’t get it resized.

I was just without my ring for 4 days while I had them soldered together. It sucks, but you don’t want to lose it.

I would check with local goldsmiths. When I got engaged the first time, I found one who re-sized my ring in 2 hours; I dropped it off on my coffee break and picked it up at lunch. I get not wanting to go without it for a week, but you probably have alternatives if you do a little digging. You’ll probably want to find a local goldsmith anyways since sending it away any time it needs to be cleaned or checked would not be ideal (although I know lots of people do it!)

There likely aren’t any better solutions than what you have now, which is why bees are recommending just re-sizing it. If you’re truly desperate, I would try putting a bead of hot glue (not white glue, not super glue, ONLY hot glue from a glue gun because it comes off easily) on the bottom part where the coil is now. It wont be any more comfortable though.

Better get it insured if you’d rather risk losing it than being without it for a few days =\

Also just because you bought it from ritani doesnt mean you have to have it resized there. Good luck.

I have one of them coils and love it, have it on my engagement ring even though I now wear wedding ring with it cos the spinning drives me insane! Thinking about getting the beads put it. Anyway my husband has a plastic thingy on his wedding band (wouldn’t listen to me to go half a size down and doesn’t like tight rings that may get stuck 🙄 we did go see if it could get sized down but because of the detail it can’t be done)  he thinks is alot more comfortable than a coil one and doesn’t notice it there now. It comes in a few sizes in the pack so can pick the right size

jezahb :  For a temporary solution, you could wear a super thin silver band (1mm) in front of your ring as a guard. Even though my ring currently fits, I wear a little band when I travel for extra protection.

Depending on how big it is, you can also ask about sizing beads on the inside. I got those and I love them because my finger changes size slightly depending on how hot/cold it is.

Just get it sized. Mine was gone for 10 days and I missed it but I’m glad it fits properly now
