feel free to message me any questions. I am very familiar with the whole gang over at Enchanted Diamonds lol.

I have been working with them since October last year on and off on different projects.

My guy and I ordered a custom from Enchanted Diamonds as well. It actually just came in this week! Unfortunately, they messed up the design a little so it got sent back. I didn’t get to see it, but apparently the construction and the diamond were beautiful, and my guy was really pleased with the result overall. They also had the best prices by far.

I do have to say that it wasn’t totally smooth sailing with them. There were some communication bumps during the process. They also didn’t send us pictures before sending us the ring, which was a huge WTF, especially since we ordered a custom design and hadn’t seen anything since the CADs (it also would have saved them the time and postage because they messed it up).

Overall, I trust that it’s going to turn out great and the price was really very good.

lilsweetie:  I’m curious, when diamonds that are purchased online; do they come with GIA certs or any certifications?  If not, do you go to a local jeweler to check it out?  I remember, I took my e-ring to a local jeweler to change it from an 4-prong to a 6-prong setting.  He took the diamond out in front of me & told me to take it home for “safe” keeping.  Well, the day I went back to have it put in the new setting, he walked a way with my diamond & the new setting.  He was out of my sight for about 10 minutes.  When he came back, he cleaned it & told me that my ring was stunning.  Well, when I told my Darling Husband the story, he took my e-ring to another jeweler to test the diamond.  Everything was fine.  Back to my question, online purchases; how do you know for sure what you are getting?  I want to buy myself a blue or yellow diamond RHR.

robinvalentine:  If you buy it from online stores such as Ritani, James Allen, Blue Nile, Whiteflash, etc, it will definitely come with GIA (or any other agency) certification. I would be skeptical about ebay/private sellers..

    dimefinger:  awww thanks hon!

robinvalentine:  some have certs, some don’t. Some have GIA, some have EGL or IGI or other “lesser” certs. I would ONLY buy with GIA or AGS certs. Reputable diamond vendors will sell with those certs. There is a laser inscription of the GIA # on the girdle of the stone, so you can look under a scope (at the jewellers) and verify the number.

lilsweetie:  my Darling Husband thinks like you, my e-ring is GIA certified and we also have it insured. Lately, I’ve been wanted a color solitaire diamond as a RHR.  To justify the cost, I want it to be a heirloom for our youngest daughter.  thanx for your help.
