I’m scrambling last minute, which I hate….
We are suppose to meet with our photographer on Friday the 4th at the Pasadena City Hall for our engagement shoot. I was looking at their website today and they are going to be closed on Friday. Does anyone know of any other locations in the surrounding area that would be a cool place to shoot at and is willing to let people photograph. Our photographer is from Ontario, and I don’t want to make him travel much further than an hour from there.
Thanks for any ideas.

I have my engagement session there on the 12th….I should keep my eye out for these last minute closures; thanks for the heads up. How about the Norton Simon museum? I’ve never been there before so I don’t know of their photography rules, sorry. Hm, Paseo Colorado? Taking pics at the mall sounds cheesy, but you might get some good shots, and it’s one of them fancy outdoor malls with stairs! Plus it’s right down the block from city hall. I’m imagining some cute shots from Coldstone Creamery 😛 Arcadia Arboretum is gorgeous, I’m actually taking pictures there on my wedding day, but this required a contract and fee. I wonder if it’d be cool to just stroll around for an hr or 2 taking casual photos. I’ll continue brainstorming, good luck!

If you don’t mind driving to corona del mar, it is absolutely beautiful there with a sunset.

It’s closed every other Friday, so you should be ok. They work 9 days every two weeks because they make up for it by working an extra hour a day every other day, or something like that. I finally got through and talked to a guy who said we might still be able to get up there. I’m praying that we are. If not, since it’s in old town I’m assuming there will be some other cool buildings around that we can shoot at too.
