I am taking my engagement photos next thursday! It’s short notice because we had our heart set on taking the pictures at the LA County Fair and the last day is the 29th. We were hoping to create a vintage vibe (sort of the Notebook-ish but less styled) and was wondering if you bees had any tips you’d like to share from your experience on your engagement shoots! Anything you would do differently? Things you wish you knew before you went in to take the photos?

@alexisqueenb: Just relax and have fun would be the best tip I can give. Our photographer told us that if we wanted to show him pics of some poses we wanted to do before we started the shoot. So I brought my IPad and I had like 40 to show him. I’m so glad I brought them because he really liked some of them and we ended up doing a few of the poses. We were nervous at first, but once we did a few poses we got really comfortable. He suggested some poses and some we just did on our own which they turned out great. Good Luck!

Bring some ideas, just to jump start ideas on posing and so she understands what you’re looking for.
If you’re going vintagey for your styling, you’ll probably have your hair pulled away from your face, which is what i would have changed of mine. I have several pictures where we’re facing each other or he’s kissing my forehead and my hair is all in my face! They’re still cute, but they’re not my favorite.
The idea of doing it at the fair sounds really cute! You’ve got to get some on the ferris wheel if you’re going for Notebook inspired!
