He proposed last Friday night but I have not had a chance to share the story! Earlier in the week he told me that our fave restaurant was running a 3 course price fix special and that we should go- believe it or not that actually didn’t raise my suspicions, though I did think we might be getting engaged that weekend.
I love food/cooking/restaurants, and I have a weird thing where I always like to read the menu before we go out, so when he came to pick me up, he told me that he had printed the menu for me so I could see it. But when he handed it to me, it wasn’t an actual menu, but the story of our relationship written in menu form- little anecdotes from the beginning were under the “Appetizer” section, first/second courses were the relationship progressing, dessert was “ICE-ing on the cake” (aka my ring). Plus he had laminated it and done it on nice paper which was impressive. As I was reading it, he got down on one knee with the ring. I was sooo happy!! He actually forgot to ask me to marry him, and after a few minutes of us being all excited, he was like, “oh yeah- will you marry me?” lol
After he proposed we went to dinner, and when we got back to my house he had told my best friends and some family to come over, so there was a little surprise party at the end. It was great to be able to celebrate with everyone and to prolong the awesomeness of the night! I’m so happy now, and I think the best part is seeing that it makes him just as happy as me. I can’t wait for all of the next steps, he’s the best guy ever.
Pics are below, he put a ton of work into getting it perfect (I’m reeeeeally picky lol). The setting is Tacori- I had known I wanted this one for a year or so.
