I bought my fiance a big screen TV. He was beyond excited. We still refer to it as his “engagement ring.”

Fiance doesnt wear any jewelry (he says he’ll wear a wedding band once we get married, so thats cool) but i did want to get him an engagement present. He is also going to do something for me as an engagement present- which will be the fee to get my bridals done at a gorgeous nearby plantation. The fee for that photo shoot is $300, so i purchased him $300 worth of really nice cigars. Hes one of those who dives head first into hobbies, and currently, hes been on a cigar kick. He really appreciated it & i was happy to give him a gift after making such an incredible step in our life together!

@mrspinesol:  What is your budget?

I just bought Darling Husband an Oris (higher end) and it has a leather and a metal band that you can switch out. It was about $2,000. Oris is simple, elegant and high quality.

A slightly lesser expensive option would be Movado. They have pretty simple and sleek designs.

@mrspinesol:  I got my Fiance a nice massage package.  It’s something he would never buy for himself, but something i knew he would enjoy.  he absolutely loved it

@mrspinesol:  No worries! You can get a very nice watch for that price. Try Bulova, Citizen or Fossil. Darling Husband had a Fossil watch for years when we first started dating and he loved. Still has it in fact!

Go to Macy’s and check out their selection. They were having a huge sale on watches when we were in there a few days ago. They have some nice leather band watches too.

This wouldn’t work for everyone, but I got my Fiance special cufflinks after he proposed and have my own mini proposal speech, just reaffirming my commitment and how excited I am to marry him! I ordered him Sonic the Hedgehog cufflinks off Etsy– Sonic is his FAVE and I knew he’d love having a tribute to his favorite character on our wedding day! lol

I got Darling Husband a nice Buliva watch when he graduated, it set me back around $220. Now I admit I know nothing about watches and wanted something nice and functional, he loves it and feels totally lost without it.

For engagement he got a gun *shrugs* it was a running joke, but he loves the tings (he’s huge into hunting)

@mrspinesol:  I wanted to give my Fiance something really nice when we got engaged. I am actually glad that I didn’t. Weddings get really expensive, so not shelling out a couple hundred dollars was a huge saver in the long run.

I got him a watch as an engagement gift.
I actually bought him a classic Movado, and it was less than $300.
I bought it on Overstock and it was legit!

I “proposed” to him with the watch box and we both got a good giggle out of it.

He is a watch afficianado and he LOVED the gift.
I knew he would – he freaking loves watches. Never thought he could afford/own a Movado, which I didn’t know – it made him so happy.

I bought it after we were engaged, since I didn’t know that he was popping the question.
It’s OK to wait a bit – you don’t want to steal his thunder! ๐Ÿ™‚
