Hi everyone im sort of engaged but not had a proposal yet or ring but we talk about hitting vegas in 203 and tieing the knot there.
Just wondering are you bothered if your ring has a diamond in it or not?
I mean who will know except for you?
would it bother you?
we cant afford alot and my objective is to get married and make it official, as long as my ring is pretty and last forever i dont think im fussed.
whats your view on the topic?

I wouldn’t care if my ring wasn’t a diamond but if I had a ring of something else, I wouldn’t say that it was a diamond. A lot of girls on here love mossanite and it’s a lot less expensive than a diamond.

I think it wouldn’t matter. Who cares. I would say to though that one of my friends has a saphire engagement ring and at times I am envious because it’s gorgeous and different.

Not having a diamond isn’t really a problem in itself at all, but I think (personally) it’s not cool to try to pass off non-diamond like-a-likes as diamonds, especially large ones.
My only concern with CZ is that often, it’s not set in a metal or setting that is well made and that will last forever. I’m sure there are settings/rings that are CZ and will last forever, and if I were going that route, I would just do research beforehand, to make sure what I was getting was really quality.
You don’t need any sort of engagement ring to get married, or a bank that has any sort of stone at all.

I’m still waiting as well, but I wouldn’t care if my ring wasn’t a diamond. I’ve talked about it with my soon-to-be-fiancee and she (we’re a same-sex couple) DOES care. It’s important to her, and that’s okay with me. We are, however, young and on a very small budget compared to a lot of other couples. She’s still saving up, but we’ve looked at very reasonably priced, modestly sized diamond rings.
That being said, I probably wouldn’t opt for a CZ for the reasons mentioned above. They’re usually not made to last as long as more expensive rings, but if you’re just looking for something temporary until you’re able to afford something else, I say go for it. 🙂 You can also find very budget-friendly white sapphire or white topaz rings, if you want a clear stone.
