I think it’ll look beautiful and perfect size for your finger!

That size sounds great to me! For reference here’s my 9×7 pear cut morganite ring on my size 6 finger! Obviously a cushion is going to look a bit bigger but I think it will still look great and not ‘costumey’ at all.

My ring size is technically a 4. I decided to get a 4.25 for my engagement ring so that it doesn’t strangle my finger in the summer when it’s warm. And honestly for the most part, it’s totally fine on my finger. Unless I’m freezing! Then it spins slightly. I don’t think a .25 up size will make a huge difference 😊

ETA: oh you’re concerned about the size of the rock?! Don’t be! Like I said, I have a size 4 finger and an almost 2 carat diamond. And I LOVE it. Good luck girl! (Sorryfor the confusion, its early here)

kafy97 :  This is a very personal preference thing.

I have a bit smaller finger than you but I don’t think that is everything: not only are size differences in fractions of mms anyway, you have to consider your own lifestyle, social circle, personal style, and so on.

I find centre stones of about 8mm+ too big for me personally for daily wear but I also have a caveat to add here as I find that applies more for colourless stones; I can wear a little bigger with a coloured gemstone for whatever reason. I think as they absorb more light they just don’t look as big.  Also, the thing for me is not about it looking like costume jewelery, just it not being my own style. It also depends on how high the stone sits, not just its surface dimensions 🙂

I am sure your ring will be beautiful, but if you are unsure you could buy a silver/CZ travel ring in similar size/style to wear for a week or so (even if on right hand) to give it a go.

Not a perfect comparison but… I have a 8mm spinel RHR and size 7 finger… And it looks pretty dainty (in a good way). Sorry, I don’t have a picture where I am right now. But I think 8mm morganite with halo will be gorgeous!

I don’t think it will look too big. I wear a size 5.5 ring and just got a 7.5mm (1.5 carat) Moissanite E ring and it doesn’t seem too big or too small on my hand. I backed out of getting a 2 carat stone because I worried it would look too big on my finger.  I would say with your finger size and the carat size it should have nice coverage on your finger without looking too big. Of course it’s all personal preference.

Here is my 2.6 ct sapphire on a size 5 finger, for reference. Bigger stone, smaller finger, so I think yours will be perfect!

I don’t think that sounds costumey at all! I always wanted a bigger stone but I don’t like clear stones so I opted for a sapphire. Mine is 2.3 carats with .7 carats of diamond around the sapphire. My finger is somehow a 5.5 even though I have the chubbiest finger pads haha. But I like the size of my ring! I’m sure some people will say it’s too big or too small. That’s just typical. I think it’s important to try on different sizes to make sure but go with what you want smilesmilesmile
