I am terribly confused ladies! I just got engaged on Christmas and my fiancee and I have NEVER gone ring shopping before. He didnt even know my ring size becuase I had never owned a ring before! So he picked it out all by himself and saved for a year so it is completely paid for! He made sure to pick the one he thought was “perfect”. Well, I posted a picture on my facebook and everyone is asking if I have my wedding band on with it but it is all one ring. I want to get a wedding band on my wedding day but dont know if it would look silly. Here is a picture of it. If you could let me know?! I love my engagment ring but dont really know if I could get away with wearing it and a wedding band. Thanks so much!

@HLWaits36: We’re using my engagement ring as The ring – planning to take it off the day before the wedding and put it on during the ceremony 🙂

It’s beautiful! It looks like it already has the bands with it but I’m not ring expert. You could get away with getting another band but it would just make the ring even more thick. Totally up to you. Who cares what anyone else thinks?

I can’t see the picture, but my advice would be to do what you are comfortable doing!

i personally would not wear a wedding band with that ring, since it does look like it has a band. congrats on your engagement!

I wouldn’t wear a band with it, just use it during the ceremony. Congratulations on your engagement

I don’t think it would look silly to wear a band with it. With that ring, I would get a think (maybe 2mm) plain band or thin channel set band as there will probably be days you just want to wear your wedding band.
The ring does look like it already has a band on either side. That’s not a bad thing though. I am a huge fan of only wearing one ring (that’s what I do) so if you did not want to get an additional band, that’s fine too.

If you want a wedding band then I would recommend going to a jewler and trying some on with your e-ring (which is beautiful, by the way). But don’t think that you have to have a wedding band. I’m just keeping the one ring which will majically transform froma e-ring to a wedding ring on wedding day!

Before I read your full post I said ooh she has one of those rings that can pass as both an e-ring before, and the full set after. Of course if you want to add another band as a wedding ring you can, but you look like you’re all set, and that’s a good thing. Congrats on the engagement!
