i don’t remember the size of my ring, but it’s the smallest they had. i got it engraved in hebrew- our jeweler hand engraves, i don’t know if that makes a difference or not. they said he had a hard time with it because it was so small, and most people can’t even see it b/c it’s so tiny, but i can and i love it! you also want to make sure that you don’t have a lot to engrave, because the smaller the ring the less they can write on it.

I’ve been looking into ordering our bands on iweddingband.com, and it looks like there’s an option for engraving a 2mm band, even. I think with what artbee said, though, I might go up a mm, because I want to be able to read my engraving. 🙂

Yes it is possible! Fiance got my engagement ring engraved before the proposal. The ring is 2.5mm on the front, and tapers to 2.0mm at the back and the engraving goes on the inside of the back. Our jeweler also custom-made the ring, so he was able to do all the work. You just have to find someone who can engrave it with that width.

Good luck – the engraving is so special. No one knows what is engraved inside my ring but me!
