    Hopefully she doesn’t wear that to bed, she’s going to knock out her fiance in his sleep!

    In all honestly, I think its ugly. If it were 1/7th the size, I would love it but a ring that big is just unnecessary IMO.

    My god, she could eat off that thing! It’s huge! But as long as she loves her ring, I say go on and rock it.

    I bet it’s sparkly as hell in person! There is a nice jewelry store down the street from me and the owner’s wife had a HUGE pear shaped stone on her hand–easily bigger than the 7.7 carat the OP posted. it was just so big and sparkly and dimensional i couldn’t take my eyes off it. Every bit of it sparkled like crazy! Definitely a little on the lavish side, but eh, some people live that lifestyle!

    @UpstateCait:  Finally. I think it’s ugly, too.

    Anything beyond two karats should be a broach or a pendant, not a ring.

    Tah-Dahhhh! the faceless stranger is here… My name is Missy, yes I’m the one with “that” ring… thought I’d drop in, say hello. Perhaps stay for tea if I’m not chased off by the herds. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    I think you could feed a small country with that!! I wouldn’t want to wear one that big because a) People would assume it’s fake or b) You’d be a prime target for a mugging :

    To each their own though! I bet it would sparkle like crazy!

    @Justmissy: I don’t think anyone will chase you off. They may ask you to post more pictures though. Ring porn is ring porn. You may get asked why you would want something this big. Do you actually wear it out in public? Have you been mugged? Do you have a bodyguard? Do you have to wear a wrist brace? ^_^

    I think it’s amazing. I would prefer it as a solitaire rather than in the halo setting, but it’s still beautiful.I would be nervous wearing it in certain situations (areas) but over all, I would rock it like I owned it – and she should too!

    Engagement rings are so very personal. What is amazing to one is hideous to another. It’s the differences that make the world go round. When most people see my ring, they say “wow it’s huge, and so…..unique” (for the record, it’s only 2.16ct., so not huge). My ring is very different, and I always take the “unique” as a compliment, but often I realize that “Unique” is just another way of saying “woah, I don’t like that, but good for you!” LOL  And ya know what? I’m soooo ok with that, because it’s MY engagement ring, given to me by the MY future husband and I love it…and that’s pretty much all that matters Smile

    Why did I want this ring- well its beautiful!!! I love it and well, honestly my fiance made it for me… there are details on it that the OP hasnt shown, that made my heart melt when I saw them (detailed with eternity hearts & our initials… I’ll post the photo.) I love the Diamond, I love the ring, I love everything about it!

    -I wear it everywhere!! from wrapping gifts, to runnning errands, to everywhere in public- if anyone thinks its fake… it honestly doesnt bother me. and no I havent been mugged…lol. no body guard or wristbrace either…LOL
