I think it would be fine.

Our wedding is going to be anywhere from 45-60, and we’re still having a dj!

we’re having a small wedding too, and just doing the iPod-sound system thing due to our budget, but if i could afford it i’d totally have a band or DJ or whatever else I wanted!

think of it this way – how many times have you been to a bar that has live music and there’s just a small crowd there?  it seems totally normal in that situation, so i think it will at your wedding, too!

@alazarin:  i think it’ll be fine.  maybe a larger band- like 8 or 9 piece- might be a little too much, but whatever.  if you want a band, who cares!  i am getting heat about my bridal party being too large for the size of my wedding- but i cant help that between Fiance and i we have a million brothers and sisters!

we had a duo playing the guitar and singing music from the 60’s and 70’s” we had 100 guests, but our venue was not a typical “wedding venue”

Yay!  Another small wedding!  We’re inviting around 50 people and just having a piano player.  We’re excited for it!  I don’t think it’s silly to have a band, I bet it’ll be fun!  It’s your day, do what you want 🙂

My bff had a string quartet and no dancing.  I am also having no dancing for my family only wedding so maybe just some music playing in the background.
