Ohhh Morris dancing! I am an avid contra dancer and so I am familiar with this without having to go to youtube! Anyway, I love watching Morris dancing, but it is one of those things that is pretty much love it or hate it.I would love to be at a wedding/party of any kind that had morris or contra dancing, however, I am not going to be one of your guests.

My biggest question to you is are you doing this solely to entertain your guests or because there is some special connection between you, your Fiance and morris dancing? If there is a connection, such as you met at a dance or went to watch your uncle’s troup for many of your dates then I think it is a fabulous idea.

Without the connection it seems like it would be distractingI guess I don’t see the point in entertaining for the few minutes between a ceremony and reception/waiting for food. As a guest I would feel more comfortable having a couple of minutes to chat with people before the partying begins and we start eating/dancing. Obviously, I feel a bit different if there was some personal connection between the entertainment and the couple!

If you ask this because your uncle is wanting to do a special dance in honor of you two, perhaps it would be more appropriate around the time you guys are doing toasts/right before the dancing begins.
