Bees, I need your advice and maybe your song ideas as well.
I’m having suchhhhhhh a hard time figuring out ceremony entrance songs. I’ve got first dance, father/daughter, mother/son, etc all figured out for the reception but I’m lost when it is coming to the ceremony. I have ideas but nothing concrete.
These are my ideas so far but I have no idea what will sound good togther….
Groom, Parents, and Bridal Party Entrance:
– The Piano Guys – Can’t Help Falling in Love
– The Piano Guys – A Thousand Years
Bride with Father Entrance:
– Edwin McCain – Walk with You (Leaning more towards this one)
– Adele – Make You Feel My Love
– Christina Perri – A Thousand Years
Maybe if I can figure out a way to mesh the Piano Guys song and the Christina Perri version of “A Thousand Years” together….start with instrumental and then go into the worded version??? It’s not a long walk for me to go down so I want to make it meaningful!
What are YOU walking down the aisle to??

Those are all awesome songs. I am walking down to a thousand years by Christina as well but she has a part 2 mix with a gentleman singing with her. My chapel is completely different than any normal chapel. It out side and there are three Isle and my parents are gonna walk down the two outer ones and then walk up the middle to meet me and then escort me the rest of the way. I am pretty sure for the party we are gonna do cannon song and then when we leave we are gonna have a mix tape part with firework by Ms perry and somewhere in there her unconditional song as well.

I am getting married in a church, so I am using mostly religious music. I am having a piano.
Prelude music: Amazing Grace, Thy Word, El Shaddai, How Great Thou Art
Mothers’ entrance: Schubert’s Ave Maria
Flower girls and me (no bridesmaids…this is a small second wedding): Eidelweiss (yes, from the Sound of Music. It is beautiful on piano).
Recessional: Ode to Joy

angella08232014: I had never heard that song before – beautiful! I might steal that too but I don’t know yet. I’m getting married at the same place I’m having my reception – no chapel for me 🙂 I didn’t want too traditional of a wedding.
Mrs.Sawyertobe: I’m sure your wedding will be absolutely gorgeous. Traditional 🙂

NicoleLyn1218: Those are all nice songs! I like Make You Feel My Love. My fiance and I are both musicians and so, are theme is Love Rocks. My fiance will be playing [a slow punk version] on electric guitar, Elvis- Can’t Help Falling in Love With You, while I walk down the aisle.

I found the ceremony music the hardest to pick too. Here’s what we eventually came up with:
Prelude music: Legend of Zelda Symphony
Processional: Somewhere over the Rainbow – instrumental original song, not the ukeleli guy (I just used one song for the flower girls, bridesmaids and myself. We don’t really do the parents entrance thing here in Australia).
During the signing: Nothing else matters – instrumental version
Recessional: Placebo – Loud Like Love
Neither Darling Husband or I are what you would call very traditional, and everyone said the music choices were very “Us”.
