So this is probably a stupid question but I need some help. I just finished cutting and attaching my envelope liners to the envelopes. Then I realized most people rip envelopes open, now I feel like I wasted my time with the envelope liners. Is there a way to seal the envelopes to encourage guests to open them at the flap instead of ripping them?

@springsbride: I wouldnt seal them completely (ie. lick the whole sticky strip) I would do two spots on each side that way peopl can get their fingers in easily. I just recieved and inviation like this and opened it correctly instead of tearing through it.

I doubt people would rip open your invitation like they would a bill. I wouldn’t at least!

I’m always as careful as I can be with opening invitations, however you could get a sticker printed with your initials or monogram and close it with the sticker ( like fancy greeting cards?)
