So I purchased my dress thinking my Fiance and I were going to have a big wedding, since we had a deposit down and planning was somewhat started. Well since I travel with my job 65% of the time and I was planning an out of state wedding, it just got too stressful so we’ve decided to head to the Sandals resort in Negril, Jamaica and tie the knot 🙂
My question to you ladies is do you think I should get another dress or just stick with the one I have (it’s a Enzoani-Cheyenne). I love my dress; it’s whimsical and princessy which I wanted but now I wish I had stuck with the simplier dress I originally purchased Maggie Sottero’s Karena Royale & ended up selling it. I’m just afraid it’s too fancy for a beach wedding.
Let me know what you think!

I think it will be fine, but if you want to make it more casual you could always wear it bustled or have the train removed. I definitely wouldn’t get another one, though, you look so fabulous in this one!

Dont worry about it, your the bride and you can never be too dressed up!

@jo.lee:I was thinking that too…maybe cutting a foot off of the train since it is pretty long.

Wow, what a gorgeous dress! Keep it for sure. You look amazing in it. I would say it is still appropriate for a island wedding.

Girl! You are wearing that dress! I think you should definitely keep it. Having it bustled or shortening the train is a good idea to make it less formal, but I think it’s gorgeous the way it is 🙂

Keep it!! It looks gorgeous on you, lady – I agree with previous commenters tho, if you’re going to be ON the beach getting married, I would bustle the train. However, if you’re getting married on a patio overlooking the beach, rock on with your bad self!

Don’t worry about it, it’s your dress and your wedding day and it looks great on you and nothing else will measure up to it anyway.

Oh my goodness, the gown is gorgeous on you! You must keep the gown and just do some adjustments, so that the train doesn’t get filled with sand. Enjoy!

It really does look gorgeous on you! I agree with pps that you should definitely keep this dress and just make the right adjustments to it for your venue.

We are getting married at Sandals too! Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay! My dress is not a typical “destination” dress and honestly, I don’t think it has to be! Love it! Keep it!

Keep it! You can’t be too fancy at your own wedding!
