windowlulu:  Ugh Bella Wedding!  One of my girlfriends sent me there.  The only thing I liked there was the easy parking.  I was looking for a dress with pretty much no lace and they showed me 2 dresses.  There was an Essense of Australia which was beautiful style wise but looked really dirty from being a rental, and I think a Sposa or something like that which also looked a little dirty.  Anyway, when I tried on the 2nd dress I said it made me feel a little uncomfortable about my stomach not being completely flat and was told, “YOU MUST DIET!”  Typical Asian auntie answer.  Haha, would never hear that at a more Americanized store.  Anyway, after that they said they no more dresses for me if I don’t care for lace.  🙁  Anyway, so I like Beautiful Day way better.  At least they wanted to help me, the dresses seemed cleaner and I didn’t feel so insulted.

I’ll see if I can post some pics of my dresses.

windowlulu:  You sure do have your work cut out – all great designers with beautiful dresses! The back is what I love about the dress the most – it’s so gorgeous in person! 😍

I don’t think the Dakota is any more delicate than other lace dresses. I felt like it was sturdy and well made because the lace is a little stiff and the dress has structure. The bottom only got dirty in one big spot because I was walking on a dark, dirty road for photos. I tried to hold my dress up but one part dagged on the ground. I think that could happen to any dress. I didn’t notice any snags or tears after the wedding. I also tried on a number of Pronovias dresses that were pretty and well made, but I loved my Dakota!! It gave me more shape than most of the other lace dresses and was just perfect!

DGN85:  Hey, kind of unrelated to this thread but it says you are from the UK so I was wondering if you have ever heard of Jonathan James Couture? I bought one from Australia and cannot find ANY reviews or information on the web. It is a little odd but I guess he’s a rather new designer. I would love to know what people think of him and what the price range for his dresses are lol. Let me know thanks!

katy498: Hey! Yes I am from the UK! I had never heard of Jonathan James Couture until your post so I Googled it… There doesn’t seem to be a lot of info out there! It looks like he’s a relatively new designer (established 2006), his website shows pictures of his 2015 collection, but I haven’t found any pricing info yet. I’ll keep digging and I’ll let you know if I find anything!

haha thank you! Man I have been so fickle with dresses. I LOVE that Jonathan James dress and also love that noone else will have my dress but thanks to some people on here I gained the courage and just bought my dream dress (slightly used so a little less expensive) so now I am selling that one! I will be happy when I go in for my first alterations appointment so I can no longer change dresses! Thanks 🙂

windowlulu:  It is gorgeous!!! Wow it fits you great! I have a question, in that picture of you in the Dakota- was that a brand new dress? The one you have pictured looks like a sweetheart neckline which I thought didn’t come on it

Congratulations!  Beautiful dress!!  It gives you the shape you’re looking for and you won’t be so worried about ripping up the lace!  Haha, I never went to Lee Hwa but you make me wish I had!
