My dress is also from a 2011 collection (Reem Acra L’Aventurra) and I paid about 3,200 for it, marked down from $6,800 at the salon. It was a sample.
I think you should jump on it if this is your dream dress. You will NOT find another one. My original “Dream dress” was from a 2004 collection and I never did find it. When I found something close enough that I ADORED, I didn’t move quickly enough and lost that one too (Reem Acra Best Wishes). I was lucky and went back to the same salon that had “Best Wishes” and ended up with the ‘sister’ dress called “L’Aventurra”.
It’s a great price and the damage is very minimal (and IMO, the price reflects the condition). I would grab it fast.

Thank you so much for helping me with this. I really appreciate it!
I was also wondering if any of you had experienced that the tulle dress got a bit “damaged” after dry clean? The seller has said that she has dry cleaned it, and the dress looks a bit “flat”, and has lost a lot of the “structure”… The seller says that the dress would be the same after some steaming.
But should tulle dresses be dry cleaned? And has any of you experienced wheter or not if the tulle is the same after dry clean and then steaming? Or does the dress lose a lot of the “stiffness” in the tulle?

I know isn’t it insane? I had the chance to buy it and missed out :(. Ultimately I am in love with the L-Aventurra though, and I think short of an actual “Best Wishes”, it is the closest I will get to perfection.

I think it can be fixed. It won’t look perfect, but its a small hole in an area with a lot going on so I think if you get it professionally dealt with, nobody will notice. BUY it before it disappears 🙂

You can get it mended, some places offer something called invisible mending which might work. I think the more important thing is to get it fixed so that the tear doesn’t become larger. And I do think the price you’re getting is very reasonable!
