I have a trellis setting e-ring and my band and e-ring have a gap and I actually quite like it. It never bothers me a t all and I think it’s enough of  space (even though it is very small) that it singles out each ring and you see the beauty of them both.

Bookmarking this for later!

My e-ring has a ‘surprise’ diamond on each side of the solitaire, so my band probably won’t sit flush, either.

@1stRosie:  Nope! My husband bought the e-ring all on his own. I had no idea he was even thinking about proposing so I had zero input on that. We bought the wedding band at zales in March and we got it on clearance and the color and clarity are up there with the color and clarity of my diamond so I snatched it right up. As soon as I put it on, it looked amazing and regardless of what band I bought, unless I got a slightly curved band, which I didnt like because I wouldnt be able to wear it alone, there would be a gap.

What a pretty sapphire!!

So I’m a little weird I guess and I actually force mine to have a gap (they’re perfectly happy to sit flush against one another but I prefer a ~0.5mm space between my rings) because I really LIKE the gap. I generally dislike curved bands, I say rock it and don’t worry!!

While ring shopping, I tried on a beautiful cushion cut halo ring that didn’t sit flush with the little pave’ band I tried on with it. But you know what? It was still gorgeous. I am ending up with a set that IS flush, but that wasn’t the reason. I’m just in love with the set. πŸ˜€ Don’t worry so much over the gap. It will be just as lovely either way.

The shank on my e-ring is tapered, and IIRC, there was no matching band that went with it.  My wedding ring is actually a 5-stone anniversary ring.  They

This picture makes it look like they sit flush, but they don’t.  It doesn’t bother me.

@1strosie My ering is ALARMINGLY similar to yours and I’ve been having the same quandry re. choosing a wedding ring. I’m thinking a thin white gold band with pave diamonds, like the band of my ering and acceptance that they don’t *need* to be flush πŸ™‚
