@ms.pascua:  Congrats!  May I ask were you using NFP?  (Just ignore if you don’t want to answer)

@ms.pascua:  Indeed, God does have a plan!  Well I pray that you don’t have any complications!  I totally understand what you mean though with early days.  Fiance and I are going to be using NFP but we’ll be sticking to phase III since we still have a bit of college left.  Congrats again!! 🙂

I had a golf ball size fibroid found during my first ultrasound when I was pegnant. It became a concern only when the location was determined to be in the uterus with the baby, the danger being that it could inerrupt the blood supply to the baby.  In my case it was closey watched but really never caused a problem.  I had lots of other problems in my pregnancy but the fibroid did not cause them and in fact was the reason the others were found and corrected.  You will have much more monitoring because of the fibroids.  Congrats on your pregnancy and I wish for you a healthy pregnancy.

A good friend of mine was pregnant with twins and had fibroids. The pregnancy went smoothly, but she did have to be on bed rest for quite awhile. No big issues though because she just did everything the dr. told her to and didn’t push herself too hard. She did end up getting a hysterectomy about a year after the babies were born though due to the fibroids.
