This might sound kind of weird but I had an extremely erotic dream last night about one of mine and my fiance’s guy friends and I feel really awkward and guilty about it.
I mean … it was intense. Like, I could almost physically … feel …. things. lol
I’ve had a couple of dreams like this in the past, usually about strangers (and one time about a guy at work)! At first I didn’t think anything of it, but it seems like it’s happening more and more often.
I’m happy with my fiance’s, um, performance? lol However, we don’t get much “alone” time because we don’t live together yet. Then again, my sex drive is relatively low. I mean, I’d be happy with sex once a week. Whereas fiance would do it 5 times a day if we could. So if my sex drive is so low, why am I having erotic dreams??
Also, my fiance is the only guy I’ve ever had sex with so … I don’t know. Is this weird? Should I feel guilty? Worried?

Not a single thing wrong with any of it! No guilt required! Dreams are never a literal representation if ourselves or desires, more like a sideways glacé through a fun house mirror at them. And as far as the vivid sensation, well, based on your own hormone levels, sleep cycle and good old fashioned luck, well, I’d count it as a bonus!
Dreams are your mind’s playtime, don’t judge yourself over it.

If it makes you feel any better, I had a dream about a student once. He’s such a sweetheart – respectful in every way – and I felt like such a creepy, innapropriate, unworthy pervert for like a week. Then I talked with my friend, a science teacher, who told me about the science of dreams, and how they’re just random nerves in your brain firing off (or something much more technical-sounding) and you have pretty much no control over it. Don’t stress – the feeling will go away.
But I still shudder when I remember that dream…

Omg I had a similar thing happen last night! I rarely ever have sex dreams, but last night’s was AMAZING haha. I woke up feeling so incredibly guilty though! The guy in it was random but I felt terrible! I’ve had dreams with exes/people we know and also felt guilty. However, I guess you can’t control what you dream about! It’s not like I actually WANT to sleep with them in real life! Don’t worry about it – just enjoy the dreams!! 😉

@Stace126: I’m jealous! I haven’t had a vivid erotic dream in months now! I think if you’re not having a burning desire to actually be with smoeone else then you have nothing to worry about.

Don’t worry about it! Like hisprettygirl said, dreams are your mind’s playtime and don’t always relate to our actual desires. I once had 4 rather inappropriate steamy dreams of SO’s brother within a wekk which I thoroughly enjoyed in dreamland. He’s a real a-hole in real life and I would SOO never want that to actually happen. Ever. Felt rather guilty for a week. Honestly though, it’s very normal and perfectly all right. Just enjoy them 😉
