You could do a seating chart instead of escort cards. Google “wedding seating chart” and take a look at the images. There are some really nice options.

If you need 300 people to have access to something to find out where they are sittting, I suggest whatever you do you break it up into several sections of the alphabet.

After your get all your RSVP’s and have a final number of guests, divide that up into at least 3 or 4 sections so you don’t have all the guests clustering around the same space trying to find out their table assignment.

If you want to do the moss/grass with cards you can do that by placing a sign in front of each section” Last name A-G” etc.

You could also do a seating chart with table assignments.

I also have 300+ people coming, and I debated about this for a while. I am just going to do the escort cards, but break it up by alphabet. I’m putting the favors at the table they are sitting, not with the cards because I think it would be too crowded.
