My wedding is not until next year, so I have some time to think about this, but I was wondering if I could get help on these two details.
Escort Cards – Does each person get a card, or is it one per family? If Mr. & Mrs. smith were invited with their daughter. Would I create a card for each individual, or just put Smith Family, and the first names in smaller print (to differentiate between Smith families)?
Also instead of table numbers I was thinking of doing “things that go together/famous pairs”, like Peanut Butter & Jam, Milk & Cookies, etc. I need 40 tables, so I need some help in coming up with things.
Thanks so much!

Are you just going for food? Here’s some: chocolate and peanut butter, wine and cheese, soup and crackers, beer and wings.
Some not solely food related pairings: popcorn and movie, cat and dog, ice cream and a hot summer day, pride and prejudice, etc.
I’m not sure about the escort card thing. We’re combining our escort cards with our favours, so everyone is getting one.

This is fun….
Peas and carrots, Apples and oranges, Black and white, Pickles and olives, Chips and dip, Diamonds and pearls, Macaroni and cheese, Spaghetti and meatballs, Steak and potatoes, Summer and popsicles….I cant help but think of foods while brainstorming these 😉

Salt and Pepper.
Also, I find it easier to have individual escort cards. One per person but I guess that also depends on how many people you’re planning on inviting.

We’re giving couples 1 escort card, because otherwise I’d be making way too many!

We have individual escort cards. Then you can seat kids @ a different table if you want, and you can indicate meal choices on the individual’s card.

wow with 40 tables you might just want to stick to numbers!
You can do either 1 escort card per person or per couple. It doesnt matter, just depends on the formality of the event and how many cards you need to buy.
