I have already sent out my invitations with a response card asking people to indicate the number of people having beef, chicken, etc. but not which entree each specific guest is having. Now that I am trying to create the escort cards in such a way that denotes entree choices, I am stumped. I probably should have thought of this earlier before asking for the number rather than the name next to the entree choices. I could do each couple on a single escort card but how can I indicate meal choice when one person is having chicken and the other beef? I would appreciate any suggestions!

Can you do a discreet colored dot or a little sticker?

I think the easiest way to denote who is having what is to have each person receive their own escort card. The you can use naangel’s advice about a discrete color code.

I am in the same situation. When I started getting the RSVP’s back, I thought to myself, I wonder which one is getting what. I figure, I’ll make them each thier own escort card with the meal color coded somehow on the card… and I will try to find out which is for which person, but if I don’t, I don’t think it’ll be a big deal for them to switch plates—is that bad?

I went to a wedding where we were listed on the same escort card as a couple and on the back of the excort card (or front I can’t remember), it indicated 1 of the chicken and 1 of the beef. When they came over with the food, they just asked which of us had which, it was no big deal.
