Our venue requires us to have a seating chart for our plated dinner. my original plan before knowing this was to have a table at the entrance with name cards tied to skeleton keys which I still really want to do but how do I go about doing that with the table number but also have a way to let each person know exactly what seat to sit in at their table? i am also still searching for at least 60 skeleton keys if anyone knows a good place to buy them or anytime reselling theirs!

If you want to assign specific seats you will either need to use place cards, or perhaps place their favor at their place setting with their name on it.
If you just need to be able to indicate your guests’ meal choice to the wait staff, you can color code your escort cards or attach a small stamp, jewel or ribbon that indicates their choice of entree.
You can get skeleton keys from Ebay, Craigslist, Etsy, Save on Crafts or here:
Here are the current Craigslist listings:

I diuse same thing! Got the escort tags from Etsy, keys from ebay (I got actual antique keys, would have been much cheaper to get replicas and I doubt anyone would have noticed.) I had a calligrapher write the names on the tags, then stamped the table names. At the tables, I used plain ecru place cards bought online and printed at home using a pretty font (they looked great and were about $10 for 100 cards). Have fun, they will be gorgeous!
