DIY Brides I need advice, how did you do escort cards? I don’t want to pay a calligrapher and have terrible hand writing. I’m considering printing onto card stock and cutting and folding into tents. Or buying little pre cut tented cards and using stickers to put on names and then maybe decorating edges with glitter to make them nicer? Or some other form of escort cards but I don’t have any particular ideas. Help anyone? I would like to do assigned tables but every little cost adds up, I’m hoping not to spend $200 – $300 just to help people find their tables.

My sister just printed (on the computer) the names on cardstock and folded them. That is what I am planning on doing too.

Try Avery. They have card stock that can make escort cards for about $12 for 160 cards. They do not have to be fancy. Generally people do not notice them longer thn a few minutes to find their table.

I bought these from LCI Paper: http://www.lcipaper.com/foil-border-4up-placecards.html
(I purchased the Ecru and Gold ones)
I printed them out in my regular printer, and they easily tore apart – couldn’t have been easier! I loved the foil border, which made them seem a little fancier.
Here they were on the day of our wedding:

THANK YOU so much everyone for the links, brands, advice. This is sort of my remaining big project with 30 days to go and I really didn’t know how to go about it.

This post just saved me $250! I was wondering about escort cards too and my calligrapher quoted me $1 per line so I budgeted about $300. Now $47 later I ordered the ones mentioned above from LCI! Im so happy to be saving some money!

I DIYed my cards for a grand total of about $35 (: i really didn’t want tents, but actual cards, so I went to an office supply store and bought a pack of paper that was perforated as business cards- they’re the perfect size! I purchased a downloadable calligraphy font that I liked, and used the template on MS word for the business card paper. I also used some leafy wreath clip art on the cards on either side of the names, and they’re beautiful! Like I said, with the font download and the paper, it cost about $35. They’ll be placed in card holders, and each guest will have a succulent in a small candle valence with the holder and the card- it doubles as a place card and a favor
