@lovecacti:  I did buy D1398.  I tried on Ivory over Oyster, but Bought Ivory over Pewter. I looked at another dress that was pewter so hopefully I made the right choice and don’t regret not getting Oyster! I am sure it will be fine. It is expected to be ready in early April. I am so excited to get it!!! I hope it fits me, hope I like the color, and hopefully the length is right!!!  I don’t want to have to get much altering…  YAY! So exciting!  I got the corset back so I could change the size depending if I ate more or less in the weeks before the wedding. LOL  Have you ever seen pewter? I hope it looks ok!! πŸ™‚  I am sure it will. How could it look bad? The dress is soooo pretty and you’re right the sparkles makes you feel so elegant!!! πŸ™‚ I am SOOOO glad I didn’t get my 2nd choice dress! This one is so much better by far! πŸ™‚

I just ordered my dress on the weekend! Sooooo exciting but now it’s making the wait to get married even more painful, knowing that I have this beautiful dress on the way. I can’t wait to put it back on!

I went on Saturday to try dresses on for the first time and I was sure that I wouldn’t find one on my first trip but I did! When we got there and were waiting for the consultant, we were browsing the racks and pointing out the ones we loved. The dress that I ultimately ended up choosing was the first one on the rack that I saw. I told the consultant I was most drawn to the fishtail/mermaid style and I tried on a few of those. They were lovely and made my body look killer (everybody in the store was commenting on my figure!). When the consultant asked me if I’d seen anything that I’d like to try on, I thought why not try on that first one I saw, just for fun! As soon as I put it on, I loved it. I’d only tried on about 7 dresses by this time but it was definitely my favourite out of all of them. Everybody else loved it as well and there were some tears (although not from me). I didn’t want to take it off but we decided to try on a few more just to make sure. In the end we came back to the Essense and I knew for sure that this was the dress I’d be getting married in. I did get teary at this point! It is not at all what I thought I would end up with but it’s so amazing, I’m so glad I tried it on. For the rest of the day, everybody was calling me a closet princess because it was so far from what we thought I’d get!

I’d become a bit disillusioned with dress prices because of looking at them online (on US sites) all the time and so I didn’t really have a budget or anything in mind because the price difference here is ridiculous and so I had no idea what I would be looking at. It was not an overly expensive dress but was a decent amount more than I had in mind. My Mum graciously offered to pay the 30% deposit and I also got a 10% discount as they were having a sale. Very happy πŸ™‚

I want to show everybodyyyy but also want to keep it a secret so I’ve only showed a couple of people and that’s it. I just can’t stop thinking about it πŸ˜€

Anyway sorry for my novel! πŸ˜›

Here is my dress:

Brightie:  Yay dress twins! You pull off the dress so well. I was going to go for something a lot more common like a lace dress but ALL THIS TULLE is so much fun, isn’t it?
