ckinchen:  That looks great! That extra touch of bling on the sleeve is a stroke of genius. Your dress looks so soft and floaty and gorgeous.

observer:  thank you! That was the first thing I loved, it’s really light and the tulle is so much softer than most dresses. Felt so comfy, but sexy too.

I also went with 1802! I ordered back in June and was told to expect it in 4-5 months, so I should be getting it in soon!

sabriel17:  I’ve just ordered the same dress. Essense d1802, Ivory over Ivory, it’s such a lovely fitting dress, but I am slightly worried my legs look a little short!

I decided on the Essense D1787! The dress in the shop was originally the ivory over harvest colour (like a light purple) and it was so hard waiting until my dress came in in the colour I decided to go with, Ivory over Cafe x

kate2016:  How tall are you? I am 5’5 and do not think it makes the legs short because its longer on one side. I will be in flats since its a beach wedding, but I really think in the right size it will be perfect. I love that it rouches right until below butt which I like because it shows a little booty and makes belly look smaller, at least for me it did!

Any 1802 brides miss not having lace? I am having a little lack of lace regret, but not sure why. I love how the dress looks and is so slimming, just wish it had a little lace. All the dresses with lace look so pretty.

ckinchen:  You could add lace! I love this bridesmaid dress in a similar style that has lace! I seriously considered doing something similar until my future Mother-In-Law bought me that ornate belt!

ckinchen:  A lace belt might be a good option too! Googling lace bridal belt brings up a lot of beautiful options. If you can sew at all, it would be easy to make your own belt for a fraction of the price.

Of course now I’m having regret for buying the first veil they put on my head (I’d planned to make my own) and for letting my Future Mother-In-Law pay too much for a sparkly belt! I do a lot of hand sewing and could have really made the dress mine with a few personalized accessories. 😭

ckinchen:  I’m 5’2, but wearing a 3 or 4 inch heel. It’s so hard to tell before its hemmed to fit, but if your going with flats then I’m happy! The rest of it looked great, despite being a few sizes to big. I love the waist definition it gives, The cut of the dress is just perfect.

I don’t have any lace regret, even though that what I originally shopped for, but I am bringing my dress up a bit with some sparkly jewellery 😀 But I agree with Sabriel that a lace belt would be lovely, especially for a beach wedding.

sabriel17:  GREAT advice!! So nice to be able to communicate with another 1802 bride!! LOVE how they put that lace on that dress, where is that dress from?

I definitely want a bling belt, but want one that goes all around, and those are $$$. I could make a lace belt and see which I like more, I have a little crafty and sewing in me, enough to manage:-). The nice thing about a Future Mother-In-Law buying you a sparkly belt is that she saved you a ton of time, I looked into making and its time consuming. You could also add stuff to your veil if you want. I have not gotten to that, but might do a lace veil.
