I just went on my first dress shopping trip and was caught between these two dresses for my astrophysics-themed wedding. The pictures I have aren’t the best (trying to see if my dad got better ones than Future Mother-In-Law, but that’s uncertain) and I was wondering if anyone else had pictures in these dresses. Especially larger girls like me – I’m a bridal 16 at Essense, and the d1526 didn’t fit at all right (wasn’t too obvious until I saw the pictures).
I’ll probably make another thread, with pictures, later tonight (after FH goes to sleep or when he’s not paying attention) but for now I’m torn and sad that the pictures don’t do the dresses as they looked on me justice.

@zumbaista: I didn’t try either of these dresses, but I’m looking forward to seeing photos of you in both dresses!

Essense d1210 – as you can see, this dress fits quite well (actually, it was about 4 sizes too large) but the photo . . . was taken at a pretty steep upward angle, which isn’t the most flattering of me.
Essense d1526 – this picture is even less flattering, partially because the dress felt a lot “stiffer” than the d1210 and partially because it was about 6 sizes too small, so the bust area was just a disaster and the skirt looks just as stiff as it felt. It’s a gorgeous dress on the mannikin, and when it actually fits. I’d wear it with a navy sash.

@zumbaista: the second one i think! stunning detail! my sister got married last year and had an essence dress, she got a one shouldered dress but had it altered into capped sleeved on both! Beautiful designer! pic below!

Here are some better pictures, from my dad. Dress 1 is being worn with a beautiful veil with scattered crystals around the edge, and Dress 2 has a navy sash on it; I’d wear it with that color sash, because it looks so much better with that one on, imo.

I really like dress 1. It gives makes the decolletagea a beatutiful romantic look. The cummerbund is pretty and flattering as well.

Hmm. With the first set of pictures I was thinking #1 looked best, but your Dad’s pics of you in dress #2 look very nice as well. I’m torn between the two, but I think I’m leaning towards dress #1 as 2 seems a bit heavy.
