Futuremrs15love: One of my favorite things! I love diffusing essential oils. I searched on amazon for my diffusers- I found the NOW diffusers to be sufficient, and not too expensive. I have one that looks like a bamboo cylinder in my office. It’s pretty nice and puts off a good mist. It also has a neat light that changes colors (if you want it to).
My favorite oils are mostly from Native American Nutritionals (Rocky Mountain Oils)- they are excellent quality and have so many options. I also like that it’s not an MLM style thing like Young Living or DoTerra. I have tried On Guard from DoTerra, and i will say that it’s a great oil blend though. However, I just buy it from Amazon (and only when NAN runs out of my favorite immune blend). Oils I love from NAN: Immune Strength and Purify for diffusing (both for immunity and cleansing of the air), Fortify for skin (also immunity, but it’s already blended with a carrier oil, so it’s just easier), and Tummy Rub- for upset tummies! They have a great Citrus blend (lemon, lime, grapefruit), and a great one for sore muscles called True Blue. I got a kit for my birthday last year and so far I have like the smell of all the oils I’ve tried, even if I don’t use some of them all that often (Heart Health or First Aid). Highly recommended though!
For just general oils, good ones for colds are cinnamon, orange, lemon, thyme, eucalytus, frankincense, lavender, citronella, peppermint, tea tree, rosemary…often blends might reference Theives or Medieval…the stories say that during the plague, theives used these oils to stay healthy.
Lavender, rose, and jasmine are wonderful for stress and calming. Citrus blends are great for energizing, as is clary sage and peppermint.
Search pinterest for essential oil info and you’ll find so much helpful stuff! Also, this article: http://wholenewmom.com/health-concerns/natural-remedies/announcing-the-best-essential-oils-company-and-a-great-sale/ is one in a series…the blogger really did a ton of research and looked into so many different companies. A great resource!
