Does anyone have Essure as their birth control method? Or do you know someone who does? I finally can get health insurance next month and I think this would be the easiest way to have permanent birth control but I’d like to hear from people who have had them put in.

I don’t have them, nor does anyone i know, but I wanted to make sure that you knew that the metal spirals they use contain a small amount of nickel, which in sensitive individuals can cause problems.
Good luck finding the right option for you! I know how hard it is to find the right birth control. . .

@Creiddylad: I did read about the nickel and I don’t have any reactions to it. I pretty much have this or getting my tubes tied. I’m allergic to anesthesia so if I can avoid being put under or avoid spending more money on an anesthesia specialist than I have to I’m all for it. I don’t know of any other permanent birth control either.
