im0502: definitely looser, but not to the point of falling off (my worry!). Luckily I think I’ll be ordering the ring by January the latest, so I’ll see just how loose it is in the winter (if i end up going with th 6.5!) .. By the way, your thread when you were trying to figure out size was definitely helpful!

ohhsnap: Gorgeous band! Have you considered an internal size adjuster for the ring? I ordered my eternity band in the same size as my ering but noticed that it was a little loose and because I don’t want to re-order I plan on buying an adjuster.
No personal experience with them or preferred brand but from what I’ve seen they’re readily available in stores and online and are fairly common.

Haha glad it helped, somehow everything pre-wedding must be complicated lol even picking a ring! Experiencing it will help, I had the smaller one for like a day around the house and I was confident I wanted it looser than having to deal with the tightness, when you know, you know haha. Im sure whatever you pick will work for you but do know we all went through it.

im0502: can you tell a difference in size between your ering and eternity band?
The struggle is real! Lol, definitely first world problems we have 🙈

ohhsnap: not at all but I wear my band above my ering where my finger is fleshier. But my ering is also looser than my natural size. And why not …photos lol

I ordered my eternity ring a half size larger than my ER. Although my ER is just right, I intend to wear the eternity band forever. If I cannot have it sized, I knew when I ordered it that I’d rather have sizing beads put in or otherwise adjust the size than have it end up being too small down the road. Fortunately – especially when it is warm or when I am warm – my ER is just slightly snug and my eternity band is just about right (though still looser than I have worn rings before). When I wear it with my ER, I notice no difference and the ER holds the band in place if it is cold outside.
Then again, I’ve also had my children and my weight is stable, so aside from osteo-arthritis, I don’t have many reasons to think my finger will get larger. I have gone up a full size since I was married, though that is mostly to do with osteo-arthritis (early onset runs in the family). I am glad I didn’t have an eternity band earlier, since it would never have fit now if I did.

My eternity is a half size larger than my e-ring. More like 3/4 I think, actually.
Reason? I swell crazy amounts during the day. I also hate hate hate ring muffin top. I woudl go at least a bit bigger.
I also have a 1mm gold band that I stack between my e-ring and eternity band. Sizing is like this.
Engagement Ring: 6 1/4
Gold stacker: 6 1/2
It works out great. If I ever wear the band alone, I just wear it with my skinny gold stacker.
