I’ve found a 2.9mm eternity band, but my e-band and wedding band are 2.5mm each.
Is there a rule as to whether the eternity band should be the same width or thicker than the e-band or wedding band?
Can anyone show me pics showing their bands together for referrence?

I wanted mine to be the exact same width but I think its just personal preference. My band hasn’t come in yet so I dont have any pictures.

I think it all depends on personal preference and how your ring is designed. I like wedding bands that are the same width of the e-ring band, but that’s only if they are about 2-3mm each. if your e-ring band is really wide, then I think the wedding band should be smaller. but that’s just my own preference. some people like lots of wide bands.

.4mm is VERY TINY. You would not really notice a difference.

Mine are different, I had my eternity band made thicker because the exact matching one blended in too well and it looked like a double shank e-ring.
here are some of mine

There is no set rule, but I did vote “The same width as the wedding band / e-band” because that is what I prefer. If you prefer smaller or bigger, then that is what you should get. I suggest going to try on a few different widths, just to see what you like the best.

i dont think you would visibly notice a difference in the 2.9 and 2.5 of your potential wedding band and e-ring
also, i have an eternity band wedding band, and it is probably .5mm smaller than my e-ring’s band – i prefered it that way

It all depends on personal preference.
I know I will want mine to be the same size, but if you like the bigger eternity band then go for it.

I prefer either a match or a little bit bigger. I tried on a smaller one and it just looked sad. 🙁

Wow so many responses! Thanks!
I’m leaning towards same size or slightly larger. I thought I wanted both bands the same size but having seen pics, for some reason eternity bands the same width (2.5mm) make the stones look invisible in a channel setting! I think i’ll go with the 2.9mm or the 3.2mm one.
Thanks a lot!

All 3 here are 2mm in width. However, if I had it to do all over again, I probably would have ordered the low-profile eternity bands rather than the regular. That’s just because I’m a little bit anal so it sometimes bugs me that the eternity bands stick out farther on the sides of my finger than the e-ring does. 🙂

I voted same. I prefer the flush look…my wedding band actually matches my e ring exactly…and it’s an eternity band but I had it modified to have a tiny strip with out diamonds in the event that I need to size it for whatever reason.
