I went with half eternity. My weight tends to fluctuate a bit and you can’t re-size an eternity ring, so I had a huge fear that say, after I had kids, I’d never be able to wear my wedding band again if my fingers got bigger.

My engagement ring also only has stones partway down the side…the twisting/spinning was annoying for the first week or so after I got married and it drove me crazy to see the stones on the two rings not line up, but now I chalk it up to the fact that I was just constantly staring at it. Now I don’t even notice unless I happen to glance down and see that the stones are turned around.

Beautiful ring by the way! 🙂

I don’t have one, but I would say that maybe you should get a wedding band with the same amount of diamonds around it as your e-ring, 1/2 to 3/4ths of the way around. One benefit of not doing a full eternity band is that if you ever need your ring re-sized (after a weight change or pregnancy), it’s a lot easier than if you have a full eternity band!

Mines a half eternity and lines up exactly to where the diamonds on my ering goes.  If I had to do it again, I’d have it go a little more than half like 2/3 around so a little spinning wasnt so noticible.  From the top view when lined up, you cant tell the difference at all btwn half and full anyways.

i have a full eternity and love it.  i’ve had it for over a year, and the stones definitely don’t bother or irritate the inside of my hand and i love how you can see the sparkle from every side.  it is true that you can’t resize it though – so mine is a quarter bigger than my finger size.

My e-ring is 3/4 as well. My wedding band came in 3/4 (the designer just doesn’t do half eternities) but I opted for a full eternity. I was worried about spinning. I wore a half eternity channel set wedding band on my righ hand for years and it spun like crazy. I have been trying to figure out if my wedding band spins at all now, but I don’t think it does. I guess it depends on the type of ring? My wedding band is a 3 row pave? I was asked three times if I was sure I wanted the full eternity since it can’t be resized. That is a negative factor.

The price difference was minimal for the 3/4 and full so if I had to do it again, I would still go wit the full. If the cost is an issue I wouldn’t bother opting for the full eternity.

I like the half or 3/4 eterinity for the re-sizeability. Not only could I get it resized due to fluctuations in ring size (my mom’s fingers got bigger with each child), but if I wanted to pass it on to a future child or daughter-in-law, it wouldn’t have to be a perfect match size wise.

I was thinking the same thing and I have decided on a half eteentity that way there shouldn’t be a sizing issue in the future

I have a full eternity to match my ering. Didn’t want to deal with spinning. I haven’t had issues with lost stones and my band is so slim it doesn’t bother me.

I have a hald eternity from Zales and love it, I chose it for comfort and also to able to size it down the line. I also dont see the point of having diamonds on the inside of your palm, because I think it gets knocked around and dirtied more from the inside since you pick things up with inside of your hand

I just ordered my wedding band last weekend and ended up getting a full eternity. I was going to have them order my ring with 4 diamonds out (so it would be about 7/8 eternity) but it would have cost more since it would be a custom design. So, I am getting the full eternity band 1/2 size bigger than my e-ring. Since there are diamonds all the way around, I won’t care if it spins and doesn’t match up to my e-ring (which only has diamonds 1/2 the way around). They told me it IS possible to re-size in the future and they would just need to take out a few of the diamonds and replace it with metal (not ideal, but possible).

I have a half eternity and I like it much better because I can’t stand how the prongs and diamonds feel in between my fingers…but that is just me. I also like the way it looks with my band and I don’t see the purpose of having a ton of diamonds that aren’t even visible.

I’d go with half eternity. I think it’ll be uncomfortable to have the stones between your fingers and it’ll make subcouncious about loosing them.
