I think the donation should balance out your karma.  Maybe even put it in the black.  Especially since you didn’t pay his employer for the kennel, which would have helped their business in a way you don’t want to.

I think your plan to donate is very sweet, but I don’t see how you got yourself any bad karma to start with, as you didn’t actually purchase the kennel from the store. 😉 Don’t be too hard on yourself!

You didn’t buy your puppy or the kennel from the pet store, so I’d say it would, if you had any bad karma to begin with (which I don’t you do!).

I don’t personally think you have bad karma for using the gift in the first place…you didn’t ask for something bought from a store that supports something that you don’t. It was a gift. You’re being gracious to your friend who works for the store, and taking good care of your animal. A donation would just be icing on the cake, though it sounds like a sweet idea 🙂

I don’t think you have any bad karma to begin with (for using a gift) but I think the donation would be appreciated.

I didn’t think it was legal to sell cats/dogs in pet stores anymore? It sure isn’t here.

But yeah, you’re okay. It’s really nice of you to donate it!

I agree, no bad karma to be had here. Not for you at least. I think donating it is an excellent idea though.
