You can if you’d like but usually announcements are sent to those who were not at the wedding.

@iloverocks:  yeah, i would. i keep the invitations for all my friends, so i would totally want it as a keepsake for being part of such an intimate wedding!

I have never heard of wedding announcements, so idk.  It sounds like they’re for people who weren’t in attendance, in which case I wouldn’t send them to the friends who are attending, regardless of in what capacity they will be there.
