I ordered cute booties/moccasins from: http://www.etsy.com/shop/kaboogie?ref=seller_info

And a sock-monkey knit hat from: http://www.etsy.com/shop/ChicPeek?ref=seller_info

Both sellers were nice and easy to deal with and the items were really cute.

And, for mom, since baby’s skin is sensitive, you might consider these dryer balls which can take the place of fabric softner: http://www.etsy.com/listing/59960354/xl-large-dirty-girl-wool-dryer-balls-set?ref=sr_gallery_2&ga_search_query=dryer+balls&ga_search_type=all&ga_page=&order=&includes%5B0%5D=tags&includes%5B1%5D=title

One of my oldest friends has a shop where she sells items that she handknits – if your baby and mommy live in a cooler climate there might be something cozy and lovely there: http://www.etsy.com/shop/mbrigid

@gerbera- I’m pretty sure they do include info about their company. I ordered one last week and should get it soon so I’ll let you know!

I also really like that they make their products out of (very) locally sourced (fallen down on their farm) Ohio hardwoods. The cousin I am ordering this from is born/raised in Ohio but now lives in Louisiana so I like to think she’s getting a little of her roots for her new baby Peter! 🙂

whole heartedly recommend Bushel & a Peck, but it looks like they’re on vacation! they have the cutest little dress and booties set that i got Future Sister-In-Law last year when she was preggers. she loved it and we’ve been close ever since!
